Autumn Song Photography is a North Carolina area father-daughter team that specializes in intimate affairs of the heart, from a baby's first breath to the day they walk down the aisle and everything in between. We believe that simple is alluring...we believe real is priceless...and we believe pure is beautiful. More importantly, we believe in the power of candid and unguarded moments. We capture life as it happens.
That being said, we won't be asking you to do anything that doesn't come from your own heart. All we ask is for real emotion and we'll make sure that our photographs are as charming and unique as you are.
Nestled just between Greensboro and Charlotte, we cover events in Winston Salem, High Point, Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, Wilmington--and well, anywhere you ask us to go!
Thanks for checking us out, we hope you enjoy your visit. Oh and while you’re here, leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you.

Inspiration Board "Delicate"
|

I 've been in love with all things Melissa Sweet for a very long time. I think it must have started the moment I knew I would be a bride in the near future. I remember driving to Houston just to try on a lace Melissa Sweet gown. It took my breath away.
Recently, dad and I had the opportunity to photograph a gown from Melissa Sweet's Fall 2011 collection (thank you Hayden Olivia!). And can I just say, when I saw that gown, I was like a 13 year old girl meeting a celebrity crush. I'm not kidding. I almost squealed. After catching my breath, I called Brooke at Nouvelle Soiree to see if she'd help us style the shoot. Brooke was amazing. It blows my mind how perfect she is at event/photo styling. She was able to reign me in (because I was all over the place), give words to what we wanted to accomplish with the shoot and then she put together a phenomenal inspiration board to guide us. She executed her role perfectly....she created a scene that was delicate, romantic and sweet but wasn't overpowering.
We can't wait to share some of the photos with you all...and we will--as soon as all the film comes in (ahhhhh...I just love saying that). But for now--I wanna share the inspiration board she created, just to give you a taste of what is to come---an appetizer, I should say. |

| Here are a few photos from Alix's bridal session. This is a time when I feel like words get in the way so, I will let beauty speak for itself. |

N ot too long ago, it seems that Charly was a little girl. She and her family attended the same church as our family. Her dad Richard, although a few years older than me, was a very good friend. Richard was a really talented man. Armed only with a paint brush and a little paint, he could walk up to a wall twenty feet wide and write an advertisement on it. When he was finished, every letter would be spaced perfectly, be the same size, and spaced exactly in the middle. No rulers, just eyeballs...amazing! Charly got her artistic ability from her dad and her gentle spirit from her mom.
Today she's a young lady with two beautiful children of her own. It's so nice to watch kids grow and to be able to see bits and pieces of their parents in them. And it's always nice when they allow me a little time to step briefly into the lives of their children. I present to you ...Ella and Rachael! |

Engagement Session: Sarah and Michael
|

S arah and Michael have the sweetest engagement story! Sarah's father, Wayne, started Sterling Events Group--you know, the group responsible for the amazing renovations at WinMock. Needless to say, WinMock has had such a special place in Sarah's heart as she's watched it change from a rundown barn to a beautiful event space.
Several months ago, while renovations were still going on at WinMock, Michael whisked Sarah away to the loft. Amongst the rubble of construction, in the place that Sarah and her family love, Michael proposed. I know ladies, it made me feel a little overcome with the giddiness of romance.
So go ahead and enjoy their sweet engagement photos while we start marking down the days until we get to see her all dressed in white at WinMock!
