Autumn Song Photography is a North Carolina area father-daughter team that specializes in intimate affairs of the heart, from a baby's first breath to the day they walk down the aisle and everything in between. We believe that simple is alluring...we believe real is priceless...and we believe pure is beautiful. More importantly, we believe in the power of candid and unguarded moments. We capture life as it happens.
That being said, we won't be asking you to do anything that doesn't come from your own heart. All we ask is for real emotion and we'll make sure that our photographs are as charming and unique as you are.
Nestled just between Greensboro and Charlotte, we cover events in Winston Salem, High Point, Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, Wilmington--and well, anywhere you ask us to go!
Thanks for checking us out, we hope you enjoy your visit. Oh and while you’re here, leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you.

T his time of year is normally slow for us. Most years we take advantage of this time to regroup, study and look forward to what the next year has in store.
One of the things that has me excited is having the opportunity to use some of my film cameras. And lucky for me, my "babies" are obliged to help out by modeling. So, over the next few days, I'll be posting some photos that are especially near and dear to me.
First up is Adalei Grace. She has had my heart from the moment I laid eyes on her. It helps that she is smitten with me...and looks so much like her mommy! Adalei has a thing for candles and there is something almost magical about the way that light dances on her face and in her eyes. |

NC Wedding Photography {Beth and Alex}
|

W e've had the pleasure of photographing Beth a LOT through the years. She is such a classic beauty and the camera loves her (and so do we). Beth likes things simple. She chooses bare feet over heels and lip gloss over lip color. So, we weren't really surprised when she decided to speak her vows in an outdoor ceremony-----in MID DECEMBER! I, for one, was so glad she took the risk. The day ended up being absolutely beautiful and the ceremony was completely her--yes, she did walk down the aisle barefoot! It was simple but breathtaking. It was quick but intimate. And Beth has never looked more beautiful.
{And I was pretty darn excited to have my sweet husband (Neil of Iron Kite Films) working next to me for the day. You can check out his precious film of their wedding day by scrolling to the bottom of the post.}
Thanks for letting us be a part of your day, Beth! You were nothing short of captivating.

NC Engagement Photography {Amanda and James}

W e always get SUPER excited when a visually literate bride and groom walk through the door. And it is always a nice bonus when they are real and smitten with each other. Amanda and James are no exception. They are so much fun to be around--full of life, excited about their future together and completely unafraid to be themselves in front of the camera. We had so much fun during their engagement session that I'm impatiently waiting for their sure-to-be memorable Revolution Mill wedding in 2012! |

NC Wedding Photography {Julie and Justin}
|

J ulie and Justin got married this past Saturday in a sweet little (BIG) ceremony surrounded by their family and their friends. I noticed early on that there was a certain comfort that Julie felt with her girls. They just moved about the tiny room where they got dressed with ease...like they all knew each other for a very long time. I found out later that the all knew each other from middle...maybe even some elementary...school. It could be just me, but it seemed like all those close relationships in one tiny room made the day so much sweeter (and truth be told, kinda made me miss some of my long lost middle/high school friends).
Julie was a beautiful bride. And Justin--he was so handsome. They made such a sweet little pair.
HA! And word on the street is...
Justin won't let Julie sit in his deer stand when he takes her hunting because she is a better shot. Beautiful girl...fun loving, sweet as pie and great with a gun. Sorry guys--its no wonder Justin scooped her up.
Congratulations Justin and Julie! What an amazing time of year to be celebrating becoming husband and wife!

Happy Birthday {Adalei Grace}
|

I can hardly believe Adalei is turning two this week! I have to admit...I still kinda see her as a baby. I hold her as much as she'll let me...I still rock her until she's almost asleep...She doesn't seem to mind. I think she likes to be doted on.
Adalei has such an incredible little personality. She approaches life with so much excitement. She's almost always happy...and she has a smile that makes her eyes nearly disappear. She loves babies, lions, suckers, broccoli and her papa. She also loves to pretend--which I find absolutely adorable.
We celebrated her birthday this past Sunday with family and had so much fun. I decided on a circus theme...just to keep things simple. I think she loved it. I mean...does it get any better than popcorn, animal crackers, cake and peanuts? |
