Autumn Song Photography is a North Carolina area father-daughter team that specializes in intimate affairs of the heart, from a baby's first breath to the day they walk down the aisle and everything in between. We believe that simple is alluring...we believe real is priceless...and we believe pure is beautiful. More importantly, we believe in the power of candid and unguarded moments. We capture life as it happens.
That being said, we won't be asking you to do anything that doesn't come from your own heart. All we ask is for real emotion and we'll make sure that our photographs are as charming and unique as you are.
Nestled just between Greensboro and Charlotte, we cover events in Winston Salem, High Point, Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, Wilmington--and well, anywhere you ask us to go!
Thanks for checking us out, we hope you enjoy your visit. Oh and while you’re here, leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you.

Greensboro Wedding Photography ~ Kelly and Chad ~
|

E very wedding I shoot is special in it's own unique way. Kelly and Chad's wedding was extra special. You see, Allen (Kelly's dad) and I have been friends since childhood. Some of my fondest memories were spent with "Big Al". We, along with Hobo, Allen's German Shepard, spent many hours roaming the woods around Hanby Creek searching for rabbits, squirrels, and any other creatures the land had to offer. We played ball together, were on the wrestling team together and even worked together on a couple of jobs. I introduced Allen to his beautiful wife Brenda. Karen and I have known Kelly since her birth. I remember her as a small child -- a huge smile, black curly hair, and china blue eyes that cut straight to your heart. She has grown in to a beautiful young lady married to an outstanding young man ... both equipped and ready to face this wonderful world together. Isn't life the best?
We've included some bridal photos of Kelly along with some wedding photos. As an added extra Karen created a slide show.

W e've known Megan for many years. Those of you that know her and her family know what special folks they are. Megan recently asked if we would do a portrait session for her and of course, we were delighted! She is a beautiful girl and has a tender heart for God. She shares her faith boldly with those she's around. We count it a blessing to know her and truly enjoyed our session. Karen did Megan's makeup then we braved the cold, traveling to several locations. I shot some B&W film for the session and man do I love film!
Film was my first love in photography. This medium has the power to transform a portrait into an expressive and timeless work of art. Nothing compares to the effect of film grain on a B&W photograph; it captures a richness and subtlety of shading that cannot be achieved digitally. Karen and I are so excited to now offer B&W portraits using all film! The new B&W portrait sessions will be a very unique niche and perfect for those who love heartful, soulful B&W portrait photography. The final print, a beautiful work-of-art portrait ... is like icing on the cake!
Here are a few of our favorites of Megan. Let us know what you think. |

A few weeks ago we shot a maternity session with Natasha, a beautiful young lady, inside and out ... I could probably write an entire page telling little stories about her and my daughter. They grew up together along with two other close friends, Tiffany and Beth. Karen and I spent lots of nights listening to them giggle and watching them grow. I love remembering those days and I'm so happy they will get to experience all the wonderful things that go along with having a family.
Luke was born on 21st of December. What a wonderful Christmas blessing! We are doing the "Watch Me Grow" with Luke, documenting his first year. What a joy to watch little ones grow through our photography especially that first year! Every couple of months we will photograph Luke then will put together a storybook album of his first year. We think it will be a priceless keepsake for Natasha and Landis.
There's one thing in particular that I've noticed about the baby sessions I've done lately, the dads are really getting involved. Luke's dad, Landis, was there to lend his hand ... I could see he was already sizing baby Luke up for a set of golf clubs! Luke was a champ the entire session, peeing only once (in his dads face). He was so expressive I thought it best to get a few really tight shots. |
